[Amber pauses mid-stride as they walk through the central marketplace to consider her answer. "Archon," obviously, doesn't ring a bell with him.]
I guess you could put it that way. He's the god of Mondstadt, basically, and Archon of the wind. Other nations' Archons are much more involved in day-to-day things. If you decide to travel to any of the other Seven Nations, I'm sure you'll notice the difference.
[That answered, they get to walking again! Amber waves at Katheryne behind the Adventurer's Guild booth as they pass.]
Yup! Born and raised here, and I wouldn't have it any other way. You said you're from pretty far from here, right?
[Her explanation of what it means to be an Archon is as illuminating as it is startling. Gods, walking among mortals?]
I have no way of telling how much time I have in this realm of yours, but on principle alone, I should very much like to visit these other nations. To have gods of any kind having such close contact with mortals, even if only on occasion... I have never heard of such a thing.
[He finds that fact alone to be quite fascinating, as he does so many things.
He gives a polite bow of his head in response, laying a hand over his heart.]
I hail from the land of Elde Menancia, though I am a native of Rena. From what I've gathered so far, those names mean little to people here.
Based on proximity, your next stop would be Liyue. But their Archon just passed away, so you might want to keep talk about it to yourself. I'm sure they're still pretty torn up about it.
[She knows she would be, if Barbatos descended dead from the sky in such a fashion. And Morax arguably means more to the people of Liyue--surely, that sadness must be magnified.
When he mentions his homeland, Amber tilts her head slightly in response.]
Nope, can't say I've heard of Elde Menancia or Rena. What are those places like?
this is so old I apologize, feel free to ignore if it is too dusty!
[He furrows his brow, just slightly. That was quite a serious loss, one he's certain the entire country must be mourning if their Archons truly walk among them.]
I will keep that in mind. It wouldn't do to upset the locals in the name of curiosity.
[He can be tasteful.]
Both Elde Menancia and Rena, however, are quite different from this place— as different as they are from one another, in fact. Elde Menancia, at least, is known for its lush greenery and fertile soil. Aesthetically, it is not so different from your Monstadt— green as far as the eye can see.
